Camp Overview
Come spend five and a half days training on the Hawaii Ironman World Championship course in beautiful Kona, while attending training, racing and nutrition seminars.
The camp is an excellent opportunity for triathletes who want to build a strong base for the 2009 season. This camp is designed for athletes of all abilities – from the beginner wanting to have an athletic vacation to the serious triathlete looking for some hard core training.

The camp is limited to 35 participants so that we can provide a more personalized training camp for those attending.
Athlete Fitness
This camp is designed to meet the needs of the beginner to the experienced triathlete. The rides will be between 10 – 112 miles, the runs will be from 3 - 26 miles, the swims between 1,000 meters - 2.4 miles with the distance being your decision. The minimum amount of each distance you should be able to do for each sport in order to attend the camp are as follows: swim – 1500 meters, bike – 10 miles, run – 3 miles.

Camp Support
Support and sag will be provided on the swim, bike and run courses.

Travel Information
You will need to arrive at the Kona International Airport at Keahole (KOA) by Sunday night. The airlines that service the Kona airport are American, United, Aloha and Hawaiian.
The hotels on Alii drive are about a 10 mile cab ride and the restaurants, grocery store and shops, etc. are within a two mile walking distance. Car rental is a personal option that participants are responsible for.
USAT Membership
This camp will be USAT sanctioned and therefore a USAT membership will be required.
Each participant will be required to show current USAT annual membership or purchase a one day membership ($10) at the athlete check in on January 25th.
Registration, Confirmation and Refund Policy For 2009 Playtri Hawaii Triathlon Camp
Registration/Confirmation - The 2009 Hawaii camp is limited to 35 participants. Registration can be done via check and registration form on www.playtri.com or online at www.active.com. Once registered, you will receive notification from camp coordinator regarding travel, etc.
Refund - Your full payment minus $250 is refundable for withdrawals up until July 1, 2008. For withdrawals between July 1st – December 1st, 50% of your full payment is refundable. After December 1st, there is no refund.
