After months of countless obstacles and challenges, we will not be able to host this great event so many of you were excited about. As much as we believe the City of Dallas needs an open water event and we worked hard to offer it to you, such production brings up many issues, barriers and difficulties we were not able to conquer this time.
We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and disappointment.

The Texas Horse Park at the Trinity is a hidden gem located only 8 miles from the downtown Dallas with a beautiful trail system, sprawling each area surrounded with beautiful horses peacefully enjoying endless acres of freedom and nature.

Course Notes: The swim is in a small, man-made lake. All distances will start together in a time trial/swim stream fashion. We will start people 1-2 at a time every 1 -2 seconds so it will be a steady stream of people. NO SWIMMING IN LAKE ALLOWED PRIOR TO RACE DAY!!
Bike course is fast and flat with downtown Dallas city skyline views and a flat. Each major intersection and turn around will be traffic controlled with directional assistance.
The run course is fast through the tree lined trails of the ATT Trail. Many aid stations will offer water.
The course officially closes at 11 am for all participants.

A Free Pre Race clinic will be held on Saturday, September 22nd at 1pm at Playtri The Colony/Plano and Dallas. We will go over what to expect on race day, setting up transition and any general questions.

USAT
Every participant must show photo ID and proof either of USAT annual membership, or purchase of USAT one day pass. If one of these is not provided at packet pickup, the participant will be required to purchase a one day pass or an annual membership in order to pick up his or her packet, regardless of whether or not he or she already has a membership. ($15 for adult one day, $50 for annual membership, and $10 for youth annual membership). Please click here for the Most Commonly Violated USAT rules.
Relays
All Relay team participants must check in at packet pickup individually and pick up their race number (though team members do not all have to come at the same time). All team members must have their own USAT membership (whether annual or one day).

Average temperature on race day: low 70 - high 85.

USAT Wetsuit rules will apply - participants allowed to wear a wet suit without penalty in any event sanctioned by USA Triathlon up to and including a water temperature of 78 degrees Fahrenheit. When the water temperature is greater than 78 degrees, but less than 84 degrees Fahrenheit, age group participants may wear a wet suit at their own discretion, provided however that participants who wear a wet suit within this temperature range shall not be eligible for prizes or awards. Age group participants shall not wear wet suits in water temperatures equal to or greater than 84 degrees Fahrenheit.
For safety reasons, Playtri Racing reserves the right to modify or cancel a race due to severe weather conditions. When severe weather is present, all precautions will be made to ensure the safety of the athletes.
Chip Timing
This is a chip timed event. Each participant will be required to wear a timing chip in order to be counted in the results. Timing chips are assigned to participants according to bib number. Please pick up your timing chip the morning of the race at the chip timing station beginning an hour before race start. Awards are based on chip times.
