The swim is in a small, man-made lake. NO SWIMMING IN LAKE ALLOWED PRIOR TO RACE DAY!!
The bike is on nice concrete urban roads. The course is slightly hilly but fast. Each major intersection and turn around will be traffic controlled with directional assistance.
The course officially closes at 1pm for all participants.

Free Pre Race Clinic
On Thursday, all locations hosting packet up will be holding a race clinic at 6pm. We will go over what to expect on race day, how to set up your transition and open it up for general questions anyone has.
On Saturday, Playtri Colleyville will be putting on a race clinic at 11am. We will go over what to expect on race day, how to set up your transition and open it up for general questions anyone has.
On Saturday, at 12:30pm we will be hosting a Pre Race Swim Clinic and Transition clinic at the race site. This is a great opportunity to swim on the course and get a feeling for course and transition area. * This is for race participants only.

- Open Wave is not eligible for Age Group awards and is intended for elite amateur athletes.

USAT
Every participant must show photo ID and proof either of USAT annual membership, or purchase of USAT one day pass. If one of these is not provided at packet pickup, the participant will be required to purchase a one day pass or an annual membership in order to pick up his or her packet, regardless of whether or not he or she already has a membership. ($15 for adult one day, $50 for annual membership, and $10 for youth annual membership). Please click here for the Most Commonly Violated USAT rules.
Relays
All Relay team participants must check in at packet pickup individually and pick up their race number (though team members do not all have to come at the same time). All team members must have their own USAT membership (whether annual or one day).

Weather
Average temperature on race day: low 75 - high 90.
Current Water Temp: Water temp is 85. No wetsuits.
USAT Wetsuit rules will apply - participants are allowed to wear a wet suit without penalty in any event sanctioned by USA Triathlon up to and including a water temperature of 78 degrees Fahrenheit. When the water temperature is greater than 78 degrees, but less than 84 degrees Fahrenheit, age group participants may wear a wet suit at their own discretion, provided however that participants who wear a wet suit within this temperature range shall not be eligible for prizes or awards. Age group participants shall not wear wet suits in water temperatures equal to or greater than 84 degrees Fahrenheit.
For safety reasons, Playtri Racing reserves the right to modify or cancel a race due to severe weather conditions. When severe weather is present, all precautions will be made to ensure the safety of the athletes.
Chip Timing
This is a chip timed event. Each participant will be required to wear a timing chip in order to be counted in the results. Timing chips are assigned to participants according to bib number. Please pick up your timing chip the morning of the race at the chip timing station beginning an hour before race start. Awards are based on chip times.
