Join us for the 8th Annual Wonder Run, benefitting the Children's Skin Disease Foundation and their summer camp, Camp Wonder. Camp Wonder is a place full of magic and joy where children and young adults with severe and sometimes fatal skin disease enjoy, free of any expense, a traditional summer camp experience in a medically staffed camp.
Our event includes:
An out and back flat course 5K from Klyde Warren Park
Medals for every finisher
WFAA anchor Marc Istook as emcee
A curated local vendor shopping market, hosted in partnership with The Boho Market
DJ Richy pumping out some high energy music
Face painting by Merry Hearts
Lawn games to get your competitive side going pre and post race
A registration bag that includes select Cetaphil products and a commemorative race t-shirt
Food and beverages, including adult beverages for participants age 21+
Mi Cocina: cash bar (payment forms accepted)
Serving wine, MiCo Ritas, MiCo Ritas with Sangria Swirl, Mimosas, Topo Chico and Jarritos
Four Corners Brewing, complimentary assortment of beers (2 per registrant 21+, must have ID)

Photos with the Camp Wonder mascot, Dexter the Duck, will be available

If you aren't able to attend and still would like to participate, you can sign up for the Virtual 5K Run/Walk and your registration packet will be mailed to you. Simply complete your 5K on your own scheduled time and course and share your pics on social using #wonderrun2022 to join in on the fun while contributing to a great cause.

Course
Course Note: Course will officially close 90 minutes after the 5K start. Participants must be at least 6 years of age to participate in the 5K.
Dogs, unfortunately, cannot be allowed in the 5K. (We love our furry kids too but insurance does not allow them in running events.)
Strollers are allowed to be safely integrated into the event.
The minimum age to participate in the 5K is 6 years.

Shirts must be ordered 6 weeks in advance from the printer, therefore, runners or walkers registered by the end of day September 1 are guaranteed a t-shirt in their desired/ordered size. After that date, it will be a matter of overages and what is available. We will do out best to ensure you have the shirt of your size selection!

Weather
Average temperature on race day: low 60 - high 80.
For safety reasons, Playtri Racing reserves the right to modify or cancel a race due to severe weather conditions. When severe weather is present, all precautions will be made to ensure the safety of the athletes.
Chip Timing
This is a chip timed event. Each participant will be required to wear a timing chip in order to be counted in the results. Timing chips are assigned to participants according to bib number. We will be using disposable chips for this event that you will receive attached to your bib at packet pick up.
