Packet Pickup
Packet pickup procedures are regulated by USA Triathlon and the logistics of race timing and liability. Please plan accordingly.
USA Triathlon is allowing athletes to pick up race packets for other individuals.
The person picking up the packet must have a copy of the athlete’s ID and written verification from the athlete that the individual picking up the packet is authorized to do so. Smartphones can also be used to show both a photo of another athlete's ID and a digital copy of their race confirmation.
One person may pick up up to 4 packets at one time to ensure fairness to others standing in line. Should one person be picking up more than the mentioned 4 packets, he or she is welcome to join the packet pickup line again as if they just entered the location.
ALL athletes are required to show photo ID at the time of packet pickup. NO ID, NO RACE, NO EXCEPTIONS. Every single participant, including relay participants, must have a photo ID. A Youth athlete without an ID must be accompanied by a parent/guardian with a photo ID. If an athlete does not bring a photo ID to packet pickup, there are two options: 1 Go home to get it 2 Have someone email/text them a copy of their photo ID.
NO CHANGES TO REGISTRATION DETAILS WILL BE DONE AT PACKET PICKUP. Request to change registration details must be emailed to Events@Playtri.com.
***Race day packet pickup will be available for an additional charge of $20 per athlete. Only exact cash will be accepted. Please be prepared accordingly for this option if you plan to take advantage of it.

Then on Sunday, November 10th, bring your A-game to the pickleball court for our doubles tournament at Oasis Pickleball Club.
Heroes’ Day was birthed out of a desire to recognize the first responders in our community. Through this event, we want to honor these individuals and show them our support and appreciation. Proceeds from the event will go to local nonprofit, Home & Heart, and benefit our first responders.

VIRTUAL RACE
Can't come to the race?
We have a race for you, too: Luck of the Irish is going VIRTUAL!
A virtual triathlon (or RBR) is a race that can be completed at any location. You can walk, use the treadmill, run outside or participate in another race. You can ride on a trainer or cycle outside. You can swim in a pool, a lake or the sea! You can run your race at your pace anywhere! This is a great way for the rookie athlete to build up confidence to show up for the real thing!
Virtual races are a great way to stay fit, motivated, have the sense of participating and get a great t-shirt and medal!
You can complete the required distance in each discipline during the week coming up to the actual race, in your pace, in your environment.
You can send us your stats at virtual@playtri.com You can send the evidence of completing the race distances to virtual@playtri.com but it is not required. You can send a screenshot from an app, your watch, your laptop or even a photo of your treadmill results for your runs. You can use MayMyRun / MapMyRide, Strava, Garmin or any other digital fitness app. Submitting evidence of your swim distance is harder, unless you have a swim compatible device. At the end of the day, if you don't do it, you would only be lying to yourself and you would not be able to wear a cool t-shirt with a triathlon logo!
Your t-shirt and finisher medal will be mailed to you the week after the race. Have fun out there!

Relays
COMPETE AS A RELAY TEAM! Relay = team of 2 or 3 participants. All Relay Team Members must check in at packet pickup individually and pick up their race number (though team members do not all have to come at the same time). All team members must have their own USAT membership (whether annual or one day).
All 2 or 3 members of a relay team will share one race number and one timing chip. Timing chip is to be handed off to the next member at the bike racked in the transition area. As the swimmer arrives at the bike, he or she will give the chip to the cyclist. As the cyclist completes the bike course and arrives at the bike, he or she will hand off the timing chip to the runner. Bicycle must be placed on the bike rack while chip exchanges take place.
Fees listed are per person. To register a relay team, the first person (captain) will register him or her self and name the team. Other members of the team will join the team name.
Refund Policy
No refunds or transfers allowed.
A considerable amount of work and planning goes into planning events like this one and we do so with the best intentions. Refunding entry fees based on changes of participants schedules is not feasible as permits and basic provisions must be ordered ahead of time. We appreciate your support and understanding, and we will continue to work hard to produce fun and safe events for your best experience.

Volunteers get everyone pumped up and motivated. As a volunteer, you'll feel like you made a valuable contribution to the success of the race. And who knows? You could turn into a participant at the next race! Simply put, volunteers are the heart of triathlon races.

VIRTUAL RUN
Can't come to the race but want to participate, get a t-shirt and a finisher medal?
Want to try a tri but you're really shy to show up?
We have a race for you, VIRTUAL RACE!
A virtual triathlon is a race that can be completed at any location.
Submitting evidence of your swim distance is harder, unless you have a swim compatible device so you will we believe you did it. At the end of the day, if you don't do it, you would only be lying to yourself and you would not be able to wear a cool t-shirt with a triathlon logo!
Your t-shirt and finisher medal will be mailed to you the week after the race. Have fun out there!

BENEFITING CHARITY
Founded in 2018, Empower 7 is a Christian faith-based organization created for the sole purpose of empowering the lives of vulnerable, at-risk youth in North Texas. Critical to our vision and mission is to build The Empower 7 Ranch, a safe, serene group home for youth, ages 18 years and under, whose need for care and treatment cannot be met safely and effectively by their families or in a traditional foster family setting. Our goal at The Ranch is to provide residential, educational, and community services to ensure youth are prepared for adulthood, form healthy connections with society, and know God’s love and grace.
While faithfully planning for The Empower 7 Ranch, we are working to close the gaps that prevent youth from thriving. Our Blessings and Growth Programs are designed to address the immediate or emergency needs of vulnerable, at-risk youth while providing them with learning experiences to shape their future.

Packet Pickup
Packet pickup procedures are regulated by USA Triathlon and the logistics of race timing and liability. Please plan accordingly.
USA Triathlon is temporarily allowing athletes to pick up race packets for other individuals.
Every person picking up a race packet must show a photo ID. If you ask someone else to pick up your packet, please make sure they have a copy of your photo ID they can present to the event staff at packet pickup. A picture of your photo ID on your family member or friend’s phone is acceptable for race packet pickup.
***Race day packet pickup will be available for an additional charge of $20 per athlete. Only cash will be accepted. Please be prepared accordingly for this option if you plan to take advantage of it.
While late registration will be available at the packet pickup (except race morning), please note that no cash will be accepted for new registrations, and all new registrations must be completed on your mobile device using a credit card. Registering prior to heading to the packet pickup helps keep line shorter and cuts everyone’s waiting time.

Volunteers get everyone pumped up and motivated. As a volunteer, you'll feel like you made a valuable contribution to the success of the race. And who knows? You could turn into a participant at the next race! Simply put, volunteers are the heart of triathlon races.

Volunteers get everyone pumped up and motivated. As a volunteer, you'll feel like you made a valuable contribution to the success of the race. And who knows? You could turn into a participant at the next race! Simply put, volunteers are the heart of triathlon races.
Please sign up to volunteer by clicking here: Luck of the Irish

Virtual Triathlon & Run-Bike-Run
Can't come to the race but want to participate, get a t-shirt and a finisher medal?
Want to try a tri but you're really shy to show up?
We have a race for you, VIRTUAL RACE!
A virtual triathlon is a race that can be completed at any location.
Submitting evidence of your swim distance is harder, unless you have a swim compatible device so you will we believe you did it. At the end of the day, if you don't do it, you would only be lying to yourself and you would not be able to wear a cool t-shirt with a triathlon logo!

Finisher Medal
USAT
Every participant must show photo ID and proof either of USAT annual membership, or purchase of USAT one day pass. If one of these is not provided at packet pickup, the participant will be required to purchase a one day pass or an annual membership in order to pick up his or her packet, regardless of whether or not he or she already has a membership. ($15 for adult one day, $50 for annual membership, and $10 for youth annual membership). Please click here for the Most Commonly Violated USAT rules.

Support
Many volunteers from numerous North Texas civic organizations are committed to make your race a safe and memorable experience.
Weather
Average temperature on race day: low 50 - high 80.
For safety reasons, Playtri Racing reserves the right to modify or cancel a race due to severe weather conditions. When severe weather is present, all precautions will be made to ensure the safety of the athletes.
Chip Timing
This is a chip timed event. Each participant will be required to wear a timing chip in order to be counted in the results. Timing chips are assigned to participants according to bib number. Please pick up your timing chip the morning of the race at the chip timing station beginning an hour before race start. Awards are based on chip times.
Volunteers
Without volunteers, we simply can't have races. Without volunteers, there is no one to tell athletes where to turn, hand out water, cheer everyone on - and yes - how much fun is body marking?! Volunteers get everyone pumped up and motivated. As a volunteer, you'll feel like you made a valuable contribution to the success of the race. And who knows? You could turn into a participant at the next race! Simply put, volunteers are the heart of triathlon races.
Sign up to volunteer by clicking on the yellow button REGISTER NOW on top of the page, follow the link and click on 'VOLUNTEER' in the right top corner. Thank you!
