About Ryan

My journey with triathlon officially began in 2015, in Cape May, New Jersey. I had been convinced by my dad and sister to take the leap, quite literally, and to get into triathlon. Escape the Cape became my personal challenge year after year. The thrill of racing in such a supportive environment was enough motivation for me to continue racing years later. The love of the sport, although crazy at times, has given me the balance and community I need.

Short-Course racing has been my favorite format over the years, qualifying for USAT Age-Group National Championships a few times. My triathlon journey does not end on short course. My goal is to become competitive in the Ironman 70.3 distance.

Beyond triathlon, I’ve also experienced the 9-5 work life. This opened my eyes to the challenges of maintaining the level of fitness required. Finding this balance can be difficult and tiresome but speaks to the best advice I’ve received: “Losers make excuses, Winners make adjustments.”

Triathlon is all a battle amongst yourself. Prove to yourself that you can compete. Prove to yourself that you can accomplish your goals. Prove to yourself that you have what it takes. Let’s make your goals a reality and enjoy the journey it leads to.
