4-7 years: Champions (recreational only)
Down the water slide + 20 yd swim - 1.4 mile bike - 0.5 mile run
** Please read: One chaperone per participant will be allowed in the transition during setup. No life jackets or goggles on the slide. Champions are allowed to use training wheels on bikes. No parents in the pool during the event. No parents on the bike course during the event. Champions may be accompanied by one parent/ chaperone during the run portions of the event (run only, Champions only).

Recreational Dreamers: Slide + Lazy River + 20 yd swim - 2.4 mile bike – 0.5 mile run
Competitive Cheetahs: 50 yd swim - 2.4 mile bike – 0.5 mile run
11-15 years
Recreational Hustlers: 100 yd swim – 3.4 mile bike – 1 mile run
Competitive Thunders: 100 yd swim – 3.4 mile bike – 1 mile run
All finishers will receive a FINISHER MEDAL!

6:00am - 8:30am Late Packet Pickup (Thunders/Hustlers need to pickup packet before 7:30) *$20 cash fee per person for race morning packet pickup
6:00am - Transition Area opens for all athletes, body marking
7:40am - Pre-race brief in transition area for 11-15 (Thunders/Hustlers)
7:50am - Transition area closes for ages 11-15 (Thunders/Hustlers) / 6-10 (Cheetahs/Dreamers) + 4-7 (Champions) zones remain open
8:00am - Race begins for ages 11-15 (Thunders followed by Hustlers)
8:40am - Pre-race brief in transition area for ages 6-10 (Cheetahs/Dreamers)
8:50am - Transition area closes for ages 6-10 (Cheetahs/Dreamers) / 4-7 (Champions) zone remains open

After Party! All athletes and families are invited to stay and play at The Cove indoor waterpark after the race. The Cove will be open to all race attendees (athletes and families/spectators/volunteers) at no cost until 12pm. Access to The Cove will be available as soon as our last Champions swimmers finish their swim, at approximately 10:30am. If your family would like to stay after 12pm, athletes can stay at no charge but will need to go to the front desk to get a wristband, and other family members and friends can stay too but will need to pay the admission fee.
Hurts Donuts will have a food truck onsite from 7:45am - 9:45am, and each athlete gets a free donut with their race bib! Donuts will also be available for purchase.
The Cove concession stand will be open starting at 8:45am with breakfast snack items.

Requirements for Packet Pickup To pick up a packet either the youth athlete must have a photo ID or be accompanied by a parent/guardian with a photo ID. If an athlete or parent/guardian does not bring a photo ID to packet pickup they will need to either go get their ID or have someone text/email them a picture of their ID.
If someone other than the athlete's parent/guardian is picking up the athlete's packet: The person picking up the packet musthave a copy of the athlete's parent/guardian’s ID and written verification from the athlete’s parent/guardian that the individual picking up the packet is authorized to do so. Smartphones may also be used to show both a photo of another athlete's ID and a digital copy of their race confirmation.
One person may pick up up to 4 packets at one time to ensure fairness to others standing in line. Should one person be picking up more than the mentioned 4 packets, he or she is welcome to join the packet pickup line again as if they just entered the location. Parent Info Sessions
We will offer parent info sessions for the last 30 minutes of each packet pickup on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. We will give a brief description of what to expect on race day, and we will allow time for Q&A.
FREE Pre-race Clinic The day before the race, we will have a pre-race clinic at 4pm at the race site. Youth coaches will talk to athletes about what to expect on race day, athletes will have a chance to see the course and transition area, and we will allow time for Q&A. It is strongly recommended that all athletes attend the pre-race clinic.

Plenty of parking will be available, please follow onsite traffic control and event staff.
Course & Site
Transition Area
UPON ARRIVAL, please enter the transition area through the RUN OUT point.
Body Marking & Bike Check will be at this spot (see sitemap)
ONLY ONE CHAPERONE per participant allowed in the transition during setup.
When transition closes for competition to begin, only participants and race officials may enter transition. Finishers may not retrieve gear until all participants have finished the cycling portion and have begun the run.
Swag
Participants will receive a race t-shirt and all finishers will receive a finisher medal at the finish line!
About USA Triathlon
A USAT Annual Membership or a One-Day License is required to race. If you are not an annual member, you must purchase a one-day license to participate in a USA Triathlon sanctioned event. A one-day license also provides the athlete participant accident medical coverage while they are participating in a USA Triathlon Sanctioned Event.
One-Day Licenses are purchased for a specific race, are transferable, are non-refundable.
Our registration system will allow the purchase of a One-Day License while registering for this race.

Awards
Cheetahs: 6-10 years Top boy and girl winner. 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each age group: 6-7, 8-10
Thunders: 11-15 years: Top boy and girl winner. 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each age group: 11-12, 13-15
All finishers will receive a FINISHER MEDAL!
Race Timing
The COMPETITIVE CATEGORY will be timed.
The RECREATIONAL CATEGORY will not be timed.
For TIMED category: Each participant will be required to wear a timing chip in order to be counted in the results. Timing chips are assigned to participants according to bib number. Please pick up your timing chip the morning of the race at the chip timing station beginning an hour before race start. Awards are based on chip times.
USAT “RACE AGE” POLICY
An athlete's age for any USAT sanctioned race will be his/her age as of Dec. 31 of the current race year. The age he/she is on 12/31 will determine his/her racing age group. If an athlete is due to "age-up" into the next group, it will happen at the beginning of the year, not after the athlete's birthday.
This action aligns regular U.S. age group racing with the method used by USA Triathlon for its National Rankings Program and its Grand Prix Series

No Refunds or transfers allowed.
This event follows the standard running industry policy: All entry fees are non-refundable. We reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event due to circumstances beyond our control such as a natural disaster or emergency or as required to protect the safety of participants and staff. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances. We reserve the right to change the details of the event without prior notice.
A considerable amount of work and planning goes into planning events like this one and we do so with the best intentions. Refunding entry fees based on changes of participants schedules is not feasible as permits and basic provisions must be ordered ahead of time. We appreciate your support and understanding, and we will continue to work hard to produce fun and safe events for your best experience.
