About CALLIE
I work primarily with women who are active in endurance sports through pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. I work to help my athletes balance the passion of racing with their family and career goals.
I stumbled upon triathlon when I was looking for a way to stay in shape after my time in the military. I wasn't a swimmer, had to "train" for the 1.5-mile Navy PRT twice a year, but cycling was something I could get behind. Most people told me I was crazy, but it seemed like a good way to learn something new (swimming), attack my weakness (running) and do something I enjoy (cycling).
Over the years triathlon has provided me a good way to maintain my health as a daughter, wife, and full-time employee, but it took on new life after becoming a mom. My heart is in getting more girls and women on bikes, topics of pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum, and of course, returning to training and racing while taking great care of kids, spouses, and businesses.
My goal is to help women understand:
What type of training and training intensities are suitable for training during pregnancy
How to resume training after pregnancy and progress your training
What to do if your doctor has a conservative view on training during pregnancy
Managing training with raising a baby or toddler and having a job
